Çalışma sanat ve tasarım fakültelerinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin sosyal ağları nasıl kullandıklarını betimlemeye yönelik olarak tasarlanmıştır. Araştırma için Aydın Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi Eğitim Araştırmaları Etik Kurulundan 03.12.2021 tarih ve 11 sayılı etik kurul onayı alınmıştır. Çalışma grubu 2021-2022 eğitim ve öğretim yılında Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi Sanat ve Tasarım Fakültesi 1., 2., 3. ve 4. sınıflarda eğitim gören 178 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde çalışma grubuna ilişkin cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, aylık ortalama gelir ve kaldıkları yer değişkenlerinin yer aldığı demografik bilgiler yer almaktadır. Araştırma ile var olan durumun var olduğu şekliyle ortaya konulması amaçlandığından araştırma tarama modelinde bir araştırmadır. Araştırmada nitel ve nicel veriler birlikte kullanıldığından araştırma karma yöntem araştırmasıdır. Araştırma paradigması olarak karma yöntemin, nitel ve nicel araştırma arasında bir köprü kurulmasına yardımcı olduğu da belirtilmektedir. Çalışmada üniversite öğrencilerinin sosyal ağ siteleri kullanım amaçlarını belirlemeye yönelik 14 maddeden oluşan 5’li likert tipi ölçek kullanılmıştır (Karal ve Kokoç, 2010). Toplanan Nicel veriler IBM SPSS istatistik programı kullanılarak elektronik ortamda işlenmiştir. Araştırmanın nitel bölümünde 4 adet soru sorulmuştur. Betimsel analiz sürecinde öncelikle kavramsal çerçeve veya araştırma sorularından hareketle bir çerçeve oluşturulur. Sonrasında bu çerçeve doğrultusunda veriler incelenir ve düzenlenir. Verilerin mantıklı ve anlamlı bir şekilde bir araya getirilmesi önemli görülmektedir. Düzenlenen verilere ait frekans ve yüzde değerleri ile birlikte doğrudan alıntılar ile de elde edilen bulgular tanımlar, açıklar, ilişkilendirir. Bu araştırmada da sorular doğrultusunda oluşturulan çerçeveye dayalı olarak veriler incelenmiş ve elde edilen bulgular frekans, yüzde ve doğrudan alıntılarla sunulmuştur.
The work is designed to illustrate how students studying at the faculties of art and design use social networks. The study was approved by the Aydin Adnan Menderes University Education Research Ethics Board on December 03, 2021 and the Ethics Board number 11. The work group consists of 178 students who are trained in the 1, 2, 3 and 4 classes at the Star Technical University School of Arts and Design in the 2021-2022 educational and teaching year. The first part of the study includes gender, class level, average monthly income and demographic information about the work group where they stay. The purpose of the research is to reveal the situation in the way it exists is a research in the scan model. The research is the research of the karma method, since the qualitative and quantitative data are used together. The research paradigm also indicates that the karma method helps to establish a bridge between quality and quantity research. The study used a 5 likert type scale consisting of 14 articles to determine the purpose of social networking sites of university students (Karal and Kokoç, 2010). The collected Nicel data was processed in electronic media using the IBM SPSS statistical program. Four questions were asked in the research section. In the visual analysis process, a framework is first created by moving from the conceptual framework or research questions. The data will then be examined and arranged in accordance with this framework. It is important to gather the data in a reasonable and meaningful way. The findings obtained along with the frequency and percentage values of the organized data and the direct quotes also define, explain, associate. In this study, the data was studied on the basis of the framework created according to the questions and the findings obtained were presented with frequency, percentage and direct quotes.
The study is planned to describe how the students of art and design faculty utilize the social networks. Ethics committee approval dated 03.12.2021 and numbered 11 was obtained from the Education Research Ethics Committee of Aydın Adnan Menderes University for the research. The batch used in the study is composed of 178 students studying as freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior at Art and Design Faculty of Yıldız Technical University in 2021-22 academic year. In the first part of the study, demographical data such as gender, grade level, monthly income level, accommodation affordability are involved. Because it is aimed to reveal the situation as it is, the study is carried out using survey model. Since both quantitative and qualitative data are used together, the study can be considered as combined method research. Backing of the combined method on constructing a bridge between quantitative and qualitative data is remarked as the paradigm of the study. In the study quintet likert scale questionnaire with 14 items, which was designed, intending to determine social net sites usage purposes of the university students is used (Karal & Kokoç, 2010). The quantitative data is processed by means of IBM SPSS Statistics 20 software. There are 4 questions asked in the qualitative part of the research. The qualitative data obtained is analyzed by using descriptive analysis method. In the process of descriptive analysis firstly either conceptual framework or a framework from research questions is generated. Then the data obtained is examined and organized in accordance with the framework generated. It is important to bring the data together sensibly and meaningfully. Frequencies and percentages of the organized data, and the findings obtained by direct adaptation define, clarify and associate. In this study, the data is examined based on the framework generated in accordance with the questions, and then the findings obtained are presented by frequencies, percentages and direct adaptations.
