Abstract:

Bu makalede, fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının, bilim insanlarına yönelik genel bilgi düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu genel amaca bağlı olarak, fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının hangi bilim insanlarını tanıyor oldukları ve tanıdıkları bilim insanlarının yaşadıkları tarihsel dönem, çalışma alanları ve bilime olan katkılarına yönelik bilgi düzeyleri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma,2018/2019 bahar yarıyılında, İç Anadolu Bölgesinde bir devlet üniversitesinde öğrenim görmekte olan 103 öğretmen adayı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma, nicel araştırma yönteminin bir deseni olan tarama modeline göre tasarlanmıştır. Veri toplamada araştırmacılar tarafından yapılandırılmış olan açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan bir anket kullanılmıştır. Anket; bilim insanı, yaşadığı tarihsel dönem ve çalışma alanı/bilim dünyasına katkıları gibi boyutlarda katılımcılardan bilgi almaya imkân verecek bir biçimde tasarlanmıştır. Bulgular, uzman görüşü doğrultusunda araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanmış olan rubrik yardımıyla kategorize edilmiş, sayısal ve betimsel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre katılımcıların ağırlıklı olarak 20. Yüzyıl ve öncesinde yaşamış olan bilim insanları hakkında bilgi sahibi olduklarını göstermekle birlikte formda belirttikleri isimler arasında ise bariz sıklık gösterenler lisans ve öncesi ders kitaplarında veya popüler bilimde yer bulan yabancı bilim insanlarıdır.

Abstract:

In this article, the aim is to determine the general level of knowledge for the scientists of science knowledge teachers candidates. Depending on this general purpose, science knowledge teacher candidates have been attempted to identify the level of knowledge for which scientists they know and the historical period, fields of study and contribution to the science of the scientists they know. The research was conducted in the spring semester 2018/2019, with 103 teachers candidates who are studying at a state university in the Anatolian region. The research is designed according to the scanning model, which is a design of the quantum research method. A survey consisting of open end questions that were structured by researchers in the data collection was used. The survey is designed to enable the scientist to obtain information from participants in dimensions such as his historical period and his contribution to the field of study/scientific world. The findings were categorized, numerically and visually analyzed with the help of rubrics prepared by the researchers according to the expert opinion. According to the study, the participants are 20 people. While showing that they are familiar with the scientists who have lived in the century and before, among the names they indicate in the form, the clear frequency indicates are foreign scientists in the license and pre-curriculum books or in popular science.

Determination Of General Knowledge Levels Of Science Teacher Candidates For Scientists

This study aimed to determine the general knowledge levels of science teacher candidates for scientists. Depending on thispurpose; Which scientists do prospective science teachers know? Do the scientists he/she knows have an awareness of the historical period they live in, their fields of study and their contributions to science? As you searched for answers to questions. The sample of the study consists of 103 prospective science teachers who are studying at a public university in Central Anatolia in 2018/2019 spring semester. The study was designed according to quantitative research method and the survey design. An open-ended questionnaire form prepared by there searchers was used for data collection. Expert opinions were taken in the preparation of the questionnaire. Questionnaire was designed in such a way as to allow information from the participants such as the scientist, the historical period in which he lives and his contributions to the field of study / the world of science. In the data analysis, the data were categorized and descriptively processed with th ehelp of the rubric, which were prepared based on there search questions. According to the findings of there search; among the appropriate names given by the participants, th emost frequent ones are foreign scientists who took part in undergraduate and prior text boks or popular science.
