So many results that aren't mine?

19. yüzyıl Türkiye tarihinde önemli bir yeri olan II. Abdülhamid, Türk edebiyatında da kendisine yer bulabilmiş kayda değer bir tarihi kişiliktir. Yaşadığı devrin sosyal ve siyası olaylarına kayıtsız kalmayan şair ve tiyatro yazarı Abdülhak Hamid, Liberte isimli manzum tiyatro oyununda, Türk tarihinin bu önemli hükümdarı II. Abdülhamid'i merkeze alır. Uzun yıllar sansür nedeniyle yayımlanamayan bu oyununda Hamid, alegori yöntemiyle, hem II. Abdülhamid'in şahsını, hem o dönemdeki yönetimi ve bazı devlet adamlarını, hem de uğruna mücadele verilen fikirleri sade bir şekilde işler. Hamid, sade bir Türkçe kullandığı bu oyununda, Sultan Hamid Türkiye'sinin dikkat çekici bir panoramasını da gözler önüne serer.
