Abstract:

The main purpose of this study is to study the satisfaction of life in individuals in adolescence in terms of demographic variables, perceptible parent attitudes and personality characteristics. The research was carried out in the relational scan model. In the study, the appropriate sample technique was used. 355 students participated in the study. 57.5% of participants (F=204) are women and 42.5% (F=151) are men; their ages are between 14 and 19 and their average age is 15.59 (SD= .98). Participants have filled in the "Personal Information Form", the "Lifetime Approach Scale", the "Mother's Approach Scale" and the "Personality Test Based on Fathers". The findings obtained from the research show that there are various relationships between life satisfaction and age in adolescents, the psychological autonomy and acceptance-interest dimensions of parents’ attitudes, the dimensions of the personality of neuroticity, externality, conformity and responsibility. Life satisfaction points vary according to both the democratic levels of the parents and the parents' styles. The acceptance-interest size of parent attitudes and the neuroticity and extinctivity sizes of personality characteristics are a meaningful indicator of the levels of life-satisfaction of adolescents.
