Abstract:

This study aims to measure the financial effectiveness and efficiency of manufacturing enterprises trading in the BIST-SINAI index using the Malmquist Total Factor Efficiency Index. For this purpose, Malmquist Total Factor Efficiency Index values are calculated using the DEAP 2.1 program for manufacturing enterprises that are traded in the BIST-SINAI index. The calculations under the study cover the data between 2012 and 2016. When these calculations are carried out, nine input variables (the number of employees in goods enterprises, returning assets, stocks, stable assets, short-term foreign resources, long-term foreign resources, self-resources, sales costs, operating costs), four output variables (net sales, gross sales profit / loss, operating profit / loss, pre-tax profit) have been used. The results of the study are referring to the index data and the financial performance and efficiency analysis of the manufacturing enterprises that are traded in the BIST-SINAI index is detailed.
