Tarihe mal olmuş ünlü bir kahraman olarak Haçlılara kan kusturan ve onları Kudüs’ten söküp çıkaran ve Eyyubî Devleti’nin ünlü sultanı Selahattin Eyyubî’nin nesebi çoktandır tartışma konusu olmuş bir konudur. Bu tartışmaya kurduğu devletin bir Türk devleti olup olmadığı da ekleniyor. Bazı rivayetler onun baba tarafını Kürt olarak gösterirken, bazı kaynaklar da Arap olduğunu söyleyerek ona şecere isnat etmektedir. Bununla beraber birçok kaynak da onun Türk kökenli olduğunu söylemektedir. Onun kimliğini ve nesebini tayin etmede kaynaklar ne derece güvenli, dönemindeki tarihi ve kültürel veriler ne derece incelendi? Selahattin kendini ne olarak hissediyor? Bunların belgeleri var mıdır? İşte cevabını aramamız gereken sorular bu ve bu nevi sorulardır. Bir kişinin yaptıkları ve hizmetleri elbette nesebinden ve ait olduğu etnisiteden daha önemlidir. Ancak, kaynaklar farklı yorumlanıyor ve çarpıtmalar yapılıyorsa işte o zaman bilim adamlarının kaynakları masaya yatırarak iddiaları yeniden değerlendirmesi gerekiyor.
As a famous hero in history, the cause of the slave Sultan Selahattin Eyyubî, who blamed the Crosses and expelled them from Jerusalem, has been a matter of debate for many years. It also adds whether the state that it is established is a Turkish state. Some rivayets show his father’s side as a Kurdish, while some sources say he’s Arabic. However, many sources say that he is of Turkish origin. How safe are the sources in determining his identity and object, how historical and cultural data in the period were studied? How do you feel your self? Do they have any documents? These are the questions that we need to answer, and these are the questions that we need to answer. Of course, what a person does and serves is more important than the object and ethnicity that he belongs. However, if the sources are interpreted differently, and fractures are made, then scientists need to re-evaluate the claims by putting the sources on the table.
The paternity of Selahattin Eyyubî, who is a historical hero as he fought against Christians and removed them from Kudus has been discussed for a long time. Besides whether the state he set up was Turkish or not. According to some rumors his paternity was Kurdish but was Arabic according to some sources. However in many sources he was claimed to be Turkish. How suffi cient are the sources to determine the identity and the paternity of Selahattin Eyyubî and to what extent historical and cultural data in his term were reviewed? What did Selahattin Eyyubî think about his paternity? What are documents of evidence for this issue? These are the questions to be answered. What a person did and his services are of course is much more important than his paternity and to what ethnicity he belonged to. Nonetheless, if the sources commented on this issue diff erently or distorted the reality, then scientists should reanalyze the claims taking care of the sources of that period.
