Abstract:

This study aims to show the opinions of teachers about the use of social media and tools in education. This work quality is the visual integrated multi-model state work.  A simple random sampling method has been conducted by reaching 14 participants. The researchers used a semi-configured interview form to obtain the opinions of the teachers involved in the study. The data obtained is analyzed by content analysis. Some of the results obtained from the research are as follows: the advanced technology and social media entering our lives and the participants who acknowledged that there are major changes in our lives, the advantages of social media use in education are indicated in the form of information transmission, fast access to information, awareness of innovation and content production codes, the disadvantages are indicated in the form of social media addiction, individuality, time loss, social relations disruption, information security and emotional insecurity. The opinions of teachers on the solutions to the challenges of social media use in education have been in the form of: control of use, content control, improving the Internet substructure, limiting its use and educational codes.
