Abstract:

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the reference values of partial tromboplastin time (aPTT), protrombin time (PT), international normalized rate (INR) to be used in our hospital population. Tools and Methods: In this study, in the Konya City Hospital, the data of preoperative aPTT, PT and INR levels of healthy 279 individuals aged 18-65 were evaluated. PT and aPTT parameters were analyzed in the Sysmex CS 2500 autoanalyzer; the optical reaction method was analyzed. Reference intervals were calculated using the R (The R Foundation for Statistical Computing) version 4.0.5 program. The findings: As a result of our work, which we have done based on the need for laboratories to identify the reference intervals suitable for their population, the reference interval for aPTT is 19. 1-28.9 was found as 10-13.7 ng/ml for PT and 0.9-1.27 for INR. Result: The reference values we found in our study differ from the values recommended by the manufacturer company, but we think these values better reflect our patient population.
