Amaç: Bu çalışma, basınç yaralarının önlenmesinde %100 pamuklu havlu ile havalı yatak kullanımının etkinliklerinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Toplam 40 hasta çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturdu. Birinci gruptaki 20 hastada %100 pamuklu havlu, ikinci gruptaki 20 hastada ise havalı yatak kullanıldı. Çalışma kapsamına alınan hastaların cilt yüzeyleri, yoğun bakıma kabul edildikleri ilk günden itibaren her gün, birinci derece basınç yarası gelişimi, servise nakledilme ya da eksitus olma gibi nedenlerle yoğun bakımdan ayrıldıkları güne kadar izlendi. Verilerin istatistiksel değerlendirmesi, Ki-kare ve Fisher’s Kesin Ki-kare testleri kullanılarak yapıldı. Bulgular ve Sonuç: Birinci gruptaki 5 hastada %25 , ikinci gruptaki 3 hastada %15 basınç yarası gelişti. Basınç yaralarının önlenmesinde iki yöntem arasında istatistiksel olarak bir fark olmadığı görüldü p=0,695 . Birinci ve ikinci gruptaki hastaların basınç yarası gelişimi ile hastaların yaşı, cinsiyeti, tanısı, vücut tipi, hemoglobin düzeyi, albumin düzeyi, bilinç düzeyi, Braden Skalası’na göre belirlenen risk grupları arasında istatistiksel olarak bir fark bulunmadı p>0,05 . Bu değişkenlerin basınç yarası gelişimini etkilemediği saptandı. Çalışma sonucuna göre, basınç yarası gelişme oranının havalı yatak kullanılan hastalarda, % 100 pamuklu havlu kullanılan hastalara göre daha düşük olduğu saptandı ancak istatistiksel olarak fark olmadığı saptandı
Purpose: This study was conducted with the aim of examining the effects of the use of 100% cotton towels and hot beds in the prevention of pressure wounds. Tools and Methods: A total of 40 patients formed the sample of the study. 20 patients in the first group were using 100% cotton towels and 20 patients in the second group were using hot beds. The skin surfaces of the patients involved in the study were monitored every day from the first day they received intensive care, until the day they left intensive care for reasons such as first-degree pressure wound development, transfer to the service or exitus. The statistical assessment of the data was made using Ki-Care and Fisher's Precision Ki-Care tests. Results and Results: 25% of the 5 patients in the first group and 15% of the 3 patients in the second group developed pressure wounds. There was no statistical difference between the two methods in the prevention of pressure wounds p=0,695 . There was no statistical difference between the patient’s age, gender, diagnosis, body type, hemoglobin level, albumin level, consciousness level, risk groups determined according to the Braden Scale. These variables have not been found to affect the development of pressure wounds. According to the study, the rate of development of pressure wounds was found to be lower in patients using hot beds than in patients using 100% cotton towels, but statistically there was no difference.
