Öz Dil canlı bir araç olarak insanların fikirlerinin, düşüncelerinin ve tecrübelerinin paylaşılmasında, bilgilerin ve kültür birikiminin aktarılmasında iletişim konusunda önemli bir soyut kavramdır. Yabancı öğrencilere Türkçe öğretirken, dil öğretimini oyun haline getirmek, öğrenilen yabancı dildeki kelimelerin daha kolay anlaşılmasını sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı yabancılara Türkçe öğretiminde eğitsel aktivitelerin kullanım yöntemleri ve etkisi üzerinde durmaktır. Dil öğretiminde, dört temel becerinin eşit ağırlıklı olarak okuma, dinleme, konuşma ve yazma derslerinde konuyla ilgili kullanılan ve farklı öğrenci grupları üzerinde uygulanan birtakım eğitsel oyun aktivite olarak kullanılan yöntemlerin uygulama şekillerinden bahsedilmiştir. Oyunun, öğrencilerin öğrenme sürecine aktif katılımını sağlayan etkinliklerden biri olduğu söylenebilmektedir. Bu eğitsel aktiviteleriyle yabancı öğrenciler zihinsel ve fiziksel becerilerini kullanarak kendilerini ifade edebilmelerini kolaylaştıran ve Türkçeyi yabancı dil olarak öğrenmede kalıcılığı pekiştiren güzel, eğlenceli ve pratik bir yöntem olarak görülmüştür. Okuma, dinleme, yazma ve konuşma becerilerinde öğrenciler fikirleri savunma, paylaşma, sorma ve sorgulama, hipotez kurma, tartışma gibi uygulanan oyunların faydaları sunulmuştur. Eğitsel aktivitelerde Türkçeyi daha kolay ve hızlı bir şekilde öğretmek için farklı ülkelerden gelen öğrencilere sunulduğu yöntemden faydalanıldığı görülmüştür. Öğrenciler oyunlar sayesinde çok kısa süre içerisinde kelime öğretimini hızlı ve faydalı bir şekilde gerçekleştirmişlerdir. Bazı grup öğrencileri için yazma, bazıları için ise konuşma becerilerinin diğer becerilere göre daha geri planda olduğu ve bu becerileri geliştirmeye yönelik tüm metotların ve tekniklerin yoğun kullanıldığı gösterilmiştir. Bu çalışmada, dil öğreniminde öğrencilerin ilgilerini çekecek metot, yaklaşım, yöntem ve tekniklerle planlanması ve buna uygun materyaller kullanılmasının çok önemli olduğu gösterilerek sunulmuştur.
Language, as a living tool, is an important abstract concept in communication, sharing people's ideas, thoughts, and experiences, and transferring information and culture. In teaching Turkish to foreign students, turning language teaching to a game has proven to have outstanding educational advantages. The aim of this study is to contribute to the more effective implementation of educational activities used in Turkish language training for foreigners. As language teaching involves four core skills - reading, listening, speaking, and writing - we examined various student groups' responses to questionnaires and explored the application of different educational activity methods. Among these methods, games stand out as an effective way to actively engage students in the learning process. Through games and other activities, foreign learners can develop their mental and physical skills, thus enhancing their ability to express themselves in Turkish. Moreover, game-based education is not only enjoyable but also reinforces the proper and effective acquisition of the language. As students practice and gain experience through these activities, they can improve their reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills. Our findings also reveal that game-based education enables students to defend their ideas, share opinions, ask questions, hypothesize, and discuss in a concise and effective manner. In educational activities, it was seen that the method presented to students from different countries was used to teach Turkish more easily and quickly. Thanks to the games, the students were able to teach vocabulary quickly and efficiently in a very short time. It has been determined that writing skills for some group students and speaking skills for others are in the background compared to other skills, and all methods and techniques are used intensively to develop these skills. In this study, the significance of teaching with methods, approaches, and techniques that will attract the attention of students in language learning, and using appropriate materials is explicated and demonstrated.
