Günümüz her geçen gün gelişen teknolojine ve bilgi artışına ayak uydurmak zorunda olan işletmeler bunu başaramazlarsa yok olmakla karşı karşıya kalacaklardır. İşletmelerin daha fazla müşteriye ulaşmalarının en kolay yolu artık bilgi teknolojileri ve internetten geçmektedir. Yapılan bu çalışma ile İstanbul Sanayi Odası tarafından her yıl düzenli olarak yayınlanan ilk 500 ve ikinci 500 firma listesinde kâğıt ve kâğıt ürünleri dışındaki orman ürünleri sanayi işletmelerinin web siteleri Düzce Üniversitesi Orman Fakültesi öğrencilerinde irdelenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında 2016 yılında ilk 1000 içerisinde yer alan toplam 23 orman ürünleri sanayi işletmesi irdelenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında temel bilgi teknolojileri dersini alan 49 öğrenciden veri alınarak işletmelerin web siteleri irdelenmiştir. Veri elde etme aracı olarak kullanılan anket formunda öğrenciler hakkında genel bilgilere yer verildikten sonra işletmelerin web sitelerinin genel yapısı sorgulanmış devamında da web sitelerinin görselliği, sitelere girme ve ulaşma düzeyi ve web sitelerinde yer alan ürünlerin tanıtımın beğenilme durumları ele alınmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında yapılan istatistiksel değerlendirmeler sonucunda işletmelerce kullanılan URL adreslerinin yaklaşık %83 oranında tamamen ya da kısmen ilgili işletmeyi yansıttığı belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada web sitelerinin görselliğinin arttırılması için tasarımda kullanılan yazı stillerinin ve puntolarının uygun olması ve kullanılan dilin de anlaşılır olması gerektiği belirlenmiş ve işletme web sitelerinin de bu noktada gerekli altyapıya sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir. Katılımcı öğrenciler İstanbul Sanayi Odası ilk 1000 listesinde yer alan orman ürünleri sanayi işletmelerine ait web sitelerinin görüntü kalitesinin yeterli düzeyde olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Ayrıca öğrenciler Web sitesi tasarımında dikkat dağıtıcı objeler kullanılmadığını ve web sitelerinin tasarımının çok karmaşık olmadığını ileri sürmüşlerdir.
Businesses that have to keep up with today's developing technology and information increase will face extinction if they cannot do this. With this study, the websites of forest products industry enterprises other than paper and paper products in the first 1000 companies list published regularly by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry were examined in Duzce University Faculty of Forestry students. Within the scope of the study, data were obtained from 49 students who took the basic information technologies course in the 2017-2018 academic year, and the websites of the enterprises were examined. After giving general information about the students in the questionnaire used as a data collection tool, the general structure of the websites of the enterprises was questioned, and then the visually of the websites, the level of accessing and reaching the websites, and the popularity of the products on the websites were discussed. In the study, it was determined that the writing styles and fonts used in the design should be appropriate and the language used should be understandable in order to increase the visually of the websites, and it was determined that the business websites had the necessary infrastructure at this point. Participating students stated that the resolution/image quality of the websites of the forest products industry enterprises, which are in the top 1000 list of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, is at a sufficient level. In addition, the students claimed that distracting objects were not used in the website design and the design of the websites was not very complex.
