A longitudinal study titled “A Study of Government Primary School Characteristics and Students Achievement in a Selected District of Sindh” was conducted to find out school characteristics influencing students’ achievement. One of the purposes of this study was to measure primary school teachers’ perceptions about their satisfaction level regarding different aspects of school improvement and effectiveness. The present paper has attempted to report the findings of this study. The study was quantitative in nature. The population of the study includes government primary school teachers of District Sukkur Sindh. Convenient sampling strategy was used to select 200 teachers. The data was collected by using Teachers’ Questionnaire. The responses were analyzed in percentages. The major findings of the study indicated that the state of physical facilities in primary schools had not improved at desired level. Schools have limited facilities and resources for teaching-learning improvement. Very rare opportunities for professional growth were available for teachers. There is lack of professional support for teachers in school. The study recommended to improve the state of physical facilities and ensure training opportunities for teachers and head teachers in government primary schools of District Sukkur.
