Abstract Deepening the knowledge of the population aging of the City of Havana is of particular interest for the multiple actors that attend this process; As several of its municipalities are known, it concentrates the largest number and the highest proportions of the population over 60 years of age in the country. This paper describes the geographic differentiation of selected demographic indicators taking as a unit the census districts into which the province is divided. The heterogeneity of older adults is characterized according to age groups, sex, skin color, schooling, occupation, as well as the composition of natives and immigrants. The results make it possible to identify regularities in the spatial differentiation of indicators that could contribute to the elaboration of differentiated policies to serve this population group.
