Bu makale, geleneksel olarak bir mezarı ya da mezarın bir kısmını tanımladığı düşünülen Karca bir sözcüğün kritik bir değerlendirmesini içermektedir. Yakın zamanlardaki filolojik gelişmelere dayanarak, ilgili yazıtların detaylı analizi ve eşleştirmeli yöntem ile aslında üç farklı sözcük ile karşı karşıya olduğumuz tartışılmaktadır. This article contains a critical assessment of a Word of the Crown, which is believed to be traditionally defining a grave or part of the grave. Based on recent philological developments, the detailed analysis of the relevant texts and the matching method is discussed that we actually face three different words. While one really means the "charm", the other two are a real and an additional number derived from the name of a place in Lykia.
This article offers a critical account of a Carian word traditionally assumed to refer to the tomb or to one of its parts. Based on recent philological improvements, on a detailed analysis of the relevant inscriptions as well as on the combinatory method it will be argued in this paper that in fact we are dealing with three different words. One of them indeed refers to the tomb, but the other two are a verb and an appurtenance adjective based on a Lycian toponym.
