Abstract:

The new media offers a variety of possibilities to influence users and individuals who are users. Immediate access and quick feedback open up digital partnerships that can be established and established. In this regard, the advanced internet technology and new media platforms are quite large. Digital services are used very effectively today. New media is an area where information production and information distribution, content production and content sharing, as well as interactive communication activities are displayed, providing fast access services. The removal of time and space barriers, which is one of the most important features of the new media, allows individuals to access rapid and up-to-date data. It also creates the possibilities for data creation and access to individuals and audiences. In addition to the views that their positive characteristics are in the forefront due to the possibilities offered by the new media, there are also views that perceive the new media as a threat within the social and cultural context. This situation indicates that the positive and negative aspects of the new media should also be evaluated from the point of view of different uses. Fan production, networks and ethics, different practices of use such as cyber harassment are topics to be discussed when questioning the new media. This study aims to evaluate the different uses of the new media and the positive/negative aspects of the new media.
