Abstract:

The aim of this study is to identify the socio-economic development conditions of the Erzurum and Kayseri provinces and to study the structures that determine these levels with the help of a row logit model. One of the main problems of many developed and developing countries is that different regions and regions in the country do not develop in the same degree. Due to various socio-economic elements, there are differences between regions within the country for reasons such as education, population structure, health, natural resources and employment structure. In this sense, it is known that the provinces located in different geographical regions of Turkey have not shown a balanced development. To ensure a balanced development, effective development policies must be implemented throughout the country. For a sustainable development policy, therefore, the knowledge of the measurable and comparable socio-economic conditions of the provinces and regions is of great importance. The study used a set of data that included a total of 35 variables selected from different areas such as education, healthcare, employment, construction services and infrastructure. The analysis found a meaningful relationship between the 19 variables included in the survey and the socio-economic satisfaction level.
