Abstract:

Overdenture on-implant proteins improve the quality of life of full-dental patients due to their positive contribution to retention and stability and are now considered a standard treatment protocol. In the overdenture prothes on the implants, holding is provided by placing mechanisms such as top head attachment, locator attachment, bar joint or magnet. According to the connective mechanism used in the protein, the holding headings are placed. When the long-term achievements of overdenture implants are assessed, it is known that the mechanical problem that we encounter is the loss of retention due to the deformation of the plastic-made heads. It is often possible to restore the retention with the renovation of the tyres. The presentation of this fact provides information about the alternative method used to remove the complaints of a patient who applies to our clinic due to the loss of retention in the overdenture protein on the implant. Keywords: Overdenture, implant, ball head adhesive AN ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION METHOD FOR DEFORMATION OF RETENTIVE CAPS IN IMPLANT SUPPORTED OVERDENTURE PROSTHESIS: A CASE REPORT Nowadays implant supported overdenture dentures are accepted as a standard treatment protocol due to improving life quality of edentulous patients with their positive contribution on retention and stability. Some mechanisms such as ball attachment, locator attachment and magnet retained system might be used to provide retention of implant supported overdenture prosthesis. Retainer caps are placed according to the retention mechanism used in the prosthesis. It is known that the most common mechanical problem was loss of retention due to deformation of the plastic structures when the long-term success of implant overdenture prosthesis evaluated. Generally the retention can be restored again with the renovation of plastic structures. In this case report information was provided on an alternative method applied for the removal of the patient's complaints due to loss of retention of implant supported overdenture prosthesis.
