Antolojiler genellikle aynı türden eserlerin bir araya getirilmesiyle oluşturulmuş kaynaklardır. Klasik Türk Edebiyatı sahası içerisinde seçme şiirler “toplanıp biriktirilmiş” anlamına gelen ve mecmua adı verilen defterlerde toplanmıştır. Bu türdeki eserlerin edebiyatımızdaki bilinen ilk örneği Ömer Bin Mezid’in Mecmuatü’n-Nezâir isimli eseridir. A History of Ottoman Poetry’si çalışmamıza kaynaklık etmiştir.
Anthologists are often sources created by the collection of the same kind of works. In the field of Classical Turkish Literature, the chosen poems are collected in books that mean "collected and accumulated" and are called the mecmua. The first known example of such works in our literature is the work of Omer Bin Mezid named Mecmuatü'n-Nezâir. He is the one who gives righteousness to the Lord, the one who gives righteousness to the Lord, the one who gives righteousness to the Lord, the one who gives righteousness to the Lord. The tradition that continued until the 19th century left its place to the antologists. The development of the antologies has gained speed after the second half of the 19th century, and many of this kind of works have been created. Anthologies have been collected in languages such as English, French and German, not only in Turkish, which contains the crops of Turkish literature. Although it is an English-written and comprehensive poetry history, Gibb’s A History of Ottoman Poetry, which has somewhat an antological characteristic, has led us to the study. In the study, the English-colored Turkish poetry antologies were identified, and their distinctive specifications were discussed. Anthologists have been comparative studies by assessing the translations of the poems, poems and poems they contain. The poetry has been chosen by the researchers.
