Abstract:

On the one hand, rapid developments in the health sector, on the other hand, developments in technology and the internet have made e-Health literacy increasingly important. Individuals with high level of e-Health literacy can use e-Health applications better, participate more in health care decision-making processes, better understand health-related information on the internet and transfer them to their behaviors in the right way. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the necessity of carrying out more health care-related transactions over the internet, the abundance of unknowns and the emergence of new concepts have further increased the importance of e-Health literacy. In addition, during the COVID-19 period, e-Health literacy has become even more important at the point of correctly understanding and applying the rules and restrictions to be followed and the concepts and information related to applications such as testing, vaccination, medicine and treatment. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the increasing importance of e-Health literacy during the COVID-19 pandemic period.
