Özet:

Turks Oghuz Kagan, Kitabi-Dede Korkut, Manas, Alpamish, Koroghlu and other epics which artisti-cally addressed their own history are recognized as unique pieces of the world cultural history.The translating the Epos of Koroghlu, to the European languages is the important issue. The article touches upon the popularity of the heroic epic Korogly in Europe within a short period of time right after the publication of Alexander Chodzko. Moreover, it deals with the issues how the epic caused the interest of many scholars and researchers and emphasizes the scientific importance and role of this publication in the study of the epic. Also, attention is paid to researches of Koroghlu, which it was carried out in European languages. As it is noted the successful aspects of these scientific works, at the same time, it is shown the imperfect directions of them. Sources, are given in chronological order.
