Abstract:

As a contemporary educational environment, universities come to the fore with their social and cultural aspects besides education and research, which are their basic functions. Among all activities, sports play a central role in student life and contribute to the physical, mental, spiritual, social and cultural development of students. Among the sports activities, fitness comes to the fore with the understanding of the importance of physical activity for a healthy life, and it is preferred in university and campus life with its claim to increase the quality of life and education of its users. In this study, the design and planning process of the Fitness Center Building that serves students, academic and administrative staff in order to meet the social and sportive needs of Kırklareli University, Kayalı Campus is explained.
