İslam ahlâk felsefesinin genelinde görülen bir özellik, ahlâk ilkelerinin mecburiyete değil makuliyete dayanıyor olmasıdır. İslam felsefesi eserlerinde insan-kainat ilişkisini şekillendiren evren tasavvuru da makuliyet zemini üzerine bina edilmiştir; bu yönüyle modern dönemdeki mekanik evren tasavvuruyla taban tabana zıt özellikler arz etmektedir. Modern dönemde çevre etiği tartışmaları daha ziyade üretimin, tüketimin taleplerini karşılamada yetersiz kalması tehlikesi ile karşı karşıya kalmasının neticesinde artış göstermiştir. Bu çalışmada, tabiatın tahribinin henüz tehlikeli boyutlara ulaşmadığı yüzyıllarda dahi, İslam düşüncesinin felsefe ve siyasetname literatüründe nasıl bir evren tasavvuru geliştirildiği konusu ele alınacak, bu evren tasavvurunun insana ne gibi ahlâkî sorumluluklar yüklediği tahlil edilecektir. Böylece, ontoloji ve aksiyoloji arasında kuvvetli bir bağ olduğu delillendirilmeye çalışılacaktır. Neticede, İslam düşüncesindeki bu literatürün, parça ve bütünü aynı derecede önemseyen bir çevre etiği inşa etmek için münbit bir kaynak olduğu sonucuna varılacaktır.
A common feature of Islamic moral philosophy is that moral principles are based on reasoning rather than necessity. In the works of Islamic philosophy, the concept of the universe, which shapes the human-universe relationship, is built on the basis of reasonability; In this respect, the mechanical universe in the modern era has diametrically opposed features. In the modern era, the debate on environmental ethics has increased as a result of the danger that production is inadequate to meet the demands of consumption. In this study, even in the centuries when the destruction of nature has not reached dangerous dimensions, it will be examined how the concept of the universe was developed in the literature of philosophy and politics, and what kind of moral responsibilities this universe imposes on human beings will be analyzed. Thus, it will be tried to prove that there is a strong link between ontology and axiology. Finally, it will be concluded that this literature in Islamic thought is an unreliable resource for constructing an environmental ethic that equally cares about the whole and the part.
