Abstract:

The occurance of the greatest karst springs of the world, situated in south-east Turkey, near the Turkish - Syrian border has not been studied in detail in Turkey. When the DSİ (State Hydraulic Works of Turkey) groundwater team was studing this area in summer season of 1967, these springs were a subject of interest. In this contribution the occurance of these springs will be discussed.
