İmam Nesâî’nin el-Mücteba adlı eseri, meşhur altı temel hadis kitabından birisidir. Ancak bu eser son derece önemli olmasına rağmen şerh konusunda hak ettiği ilgiyi yakalayamamış ve altı hadis kitabı arasında en az şerhi yapılan eser olmuştur. El-Hafiz Ebu’l-Fadl bin Tahir el-Makdisî’nin de belirttiği gibi el-Mücteba’daki hadisler üç kısımdır. Birincisi, kitabın büyük kısmını oluşturan Sahihayn’da rivayeti yapılmış sahih hadisler, ikincisi Sahihayn’ın şartlarına göre sahih olan ancak onlar tarafından rivayet edilmemiş hadisler, üçüncüsü ise marifet ehlinin anladığı şekilde illeti açıklanan hadislerdir. Ancak Makdisî, az sayıdaki dördüncü bir kısmı atlamıştır. Bu hadisleri Nesâî, “Tam olarak anlayamadım”, “Bunu iyi bilmiyorum” ve “Bilmiyorum” gibi sözler ile ifade etmiştir. Bu hadislerin içerdikleri kapalılık çözülmesi gereken bir problem oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmamızın sorunu, Nesâî’yi şerh edenlerin ve yöntemi hakkında araştırma yapanların Nesâî’nin tam olarak kavrayamadığını belirttiği yerleri açık şekilde izah etmemeleri, Nesâî’nin bu yerleri şeyhinin lafzındaki bir kapalılık yüzünden anlamamış olabileceği ihtimalidir. Dolayısıyla bu değerli kitap üzerine yapılan çalışma ve araştırmalarda söz konusu yerler göz ardı edilmiş, Nesâî'nin anlamakta güçlük çekmesinin ardındaki sebepler ortaya henüz çıkartılmamıştır.
The book "Al-Mujtabā" is an important work written by Imam al-Nasāʾī, compiling ḥadīths. The book is considered as one of the six major ḥadīth collections. The chapter headings, the chains of narration (isnād), and the routes of transmission especially stand out in terms of paying attention to the problems in the ḥadīths. However, there are uncertainties in some parts where Nasāʾī expresses difficulties in understanding statements such as "I did not fully understand it”, "I do not know this exactly", and "I do not know”. The problem of the research is the insufficient commentary on his work and the failure of commentaries to explain the difficulties in understanding addressed by Nasāʾī. Despite these studies, the mentioned parts have remained unexplained. This study aims to uncover the reasons of the difficulty Nasāʾī had in understanding and to bring together these parts for which he mentions experiencing such difficulty. The study also involves the analysis of the narration chains and comparing the transmitted narrations to examine and determine the reasons behind his statements. As a result of the study, seven parts in the book were identified where difficulties in understanding are mentioned. It is understood that three of them are due to the obscurity in Nasāʾī’s commentaries, and the remaining four are caused by problems in the narration chains or the texts themselves. Finally, the research clearly presents the definitions and explanations of the mentioned reasons.
