Abstract:

In this study, it is intended to evaluate the value of the hospitals in Erzurum in terms of health tourism. It was investigated along with the management of health tourism authorization certificated hospitals in Erzurum, that whether the hospitals' infrastructures are capable of health tourism and what they lack of. In this research qualitative research method was used, scales used in past researchs were utilized, also based on expert opinions semi-structured and open-ended questions were added to prepare interview forms. In December 2018, face to face interview was made with the managers of 3 of the hospitals in Erzurum which have the health tourism authorization certificates. As a result of research, these 3 hospitals with the tourism authorization certificates were determined to have highly adequate physical facility in certain branches, however, it was also determined that there were lack of some fields such as being ready for the health tourism, complementary factors, employee training, promotion and marketing.
