Bu çalışmanın amacı ortaokul öğrencilerinin teknoloji algılarının çizdikleri resimler ve bu resimleri açıkladıkları yazılı dokümanlar aracılığıyla belirlenmesidir. Araştırmaya Elazığ’da bir ortaokulda öğrenim gören 35 öğrenci katılmıştır. Öğrencilerin teknolojiye yönelik algılarını belirlemek için veriler resimler ve görüşmeler yoluyla toplanmış, elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda 6.sınıf öğrencilerinin çizdiği resimlerde bilgisayar, cep telefonu ve televizyon gibi teknolojik araç gereçlerin ön plana çıktığı gözlemlenmiştir. Ayrıca erkek ve kız öğrencilerin çizdiği resimlerin farklı olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte cinsiyet ile öğrencilerin teknolojinin yararları kavramına ilişkin algıları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişkinin bulunduğu ancak teknolojinin zararları kavramına ilişkin algıları arasında anlamlı ilişkinin bulunmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, teknolojinin etkisiyle değişen dünyayı daha iyi anlamak için çocukların algılarını ve bakış açılarını yakalamaya odaklanacak daha fazla araştırma yapılması önerilmektedir.
The aim of this study is to determine the aim of secondary school students' technology perceptions through pictures and the documents they describe. 35 students attending a secondary school in A.S. participated in the research. In order to determine the perceptions of the students towards technology, data were collected through pictures and the documents they describe and the obtained data were analyzed by content analysis techniques. As a result of the research, it has been observed that technological tools such as computers, mobile phones and television features prominently in the pictures drawn by 6th grade students. It is also determined that the pictures drawn by boys and girls are not different. Nevertheless, it was found that there was a statistically significant relationship between gender and perceptions of students' perceptions of the benefits of technology, but no significant relationship was found between perceptions of technology's perceptions of harm. In order to better understand the impact of the changing technological world, it is recommended that these technologies be further investigated to focus on catching up with children’s perceptions and perspectives.
