Abstract:

Sino-Korean words consist of almost 70% of Korean language. In order to enhancethe knowledge of Korean Language it is necessary to learn Sino-Korean words.This study aims to emphasize the necessity for the teaching of Sino-Korean wordsin Korean Language teaching. Learners could improve their long-term memory ofthe words by learning the form and meaning of learned Sino-Korean words. In addition, learners could build up their vocabulary learning strategies to inferunknown Sino-Korean vocabularies by learning Sino-Korean words (word family)with similar meanings
