Abstract:

In this study, "reasons for attending the course" and "satisfaction scale questionnaires" were applied in order to determine the opinions and observations of the trainees who attended the courses held in the Public Education Center of Erzin District of Hatay Province in the 2020-2021 academic year. Demographic information was obtained with these scales.These data were encoded and analyzed with the help of SPSS.25 package program.Reliability tests were performed and it was found to be reliable at a good level.Normality tests were performed, and it was found that the data entered into the scales were not normally distributed. Nonparametric tests, Mann-Whitney test and Kruskal Wallis test, Spearman Rho Correlation and Multiple Regression tests were applied. 372 trainees participated in the research.In the correlation test, it was found that the relationship between the reasons for participation scale and the satisfaction scale was positively significant at the medium level "** 0.465" level at 99% confidence level. In the regression analysis, it is estimated that the reason for participation and satisfaction explained 21.7% (t= 10.114) and affected it in a positive and statistically significant way. As a result of the study, it was seen that the reasons for participating in the course affect the course satisfaction of the trainees.Although there are examples of the study in the literature, no studies were found in which the reason for participation and trainee satisfaction were investigated together.While analysis studies generally used frequency analysis chi-square tests in other studies, more in-depth hypothesis tests were conducted in this study.It is aimed to contribute to the literature by adapting the research results according to today's conditions and making suggestions in order to improve course satisfaction and the reasons for attending the course. It is thought that the course centers will benefit from increasing the satisfaction of the trainees.
