Abstract:

Bu çalışma, havacılık sektöründe vardiyalı çalışma düzeninin çalışanların işten ayrılma niyeti üzerindeki etkisini ve bu nedensellik ilişkisinde iş yaşam dengesinin aracılık rolünü tespit etmek için gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu amaca yönelik olarak, literatür taraması sonrasında, Antalya Havalimanı’nda toplam 517 çalışanı olan bir yer hizmetleri şirketinde 256 çalışan üzerinde anket tekniğine dayalı bir araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Anketlerden elde edilen veriler, SPSS 22 istatistik yazılımı ve PROCESS makrosu kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, vardiyalı çalışma sisteminin işten ayrılma niyeti üzerindeki etkisinin istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu tespit edilmiştir (β= .49; p<0.00). İkinci aşamada ise vardiyalı çalışma sistemi, iş yaşam dengesi ve işten ayrılma niyeti değişkenleri birlikte analiz edilerek vardiyalı çalışma sisteminin işten ayrılma niyeti üzerindeki etkisi anlamsızlaşmıştır (β=.41; p>0.05). Bu aracılık ilişkisi, Sobel (1982) testiyle incelendiğinde iş yaşam dengesinin, vardiyalı çalışma sistemi ile işten ayrılma niyeti arasındaki ilişki üzerindeki aracılık etkisinin istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu saptanmıştır (z= 5,29, p<0.01).

This study was carried out to identify the impact of the working system in the aviation sector on the intention of employees to leave work and the mediation role of the work life balance in this causal relationship. For this purpose, after the literature scan, a survey based on the survey technique was carried out on 256 employees in a ground service company with a total of 517 employees at Antalya Airport. The data obtained from the surveys were analyzed using the SPSS 22 statistical software and the PROCESS macros. According to the findings obtained from the study, the impact of the vardial work system on the intention to leave has been statistically meaningful (β= .49; p<0.00). In the second phase, the effect of the work system on the work system, the work life balance and the intention to leave the work are analysed together and the intention to leave the work system has become meaningless (β=.41; p>0.05). When this mediation relationship was studied by the Sobel (1982) test, it was found that the mediation effect on the relationship between the work life balance and the work system and the intention to leave the work was statistically meaningful (z= 5,29, p<0.01).

The study is carried out to determine the influence of shift-work system in civil aviation sector on turnover intention and the mediating role of work-life balance in this causality relationship. For this purpose, a field research is executed after the literature review by means of a questionnaire method on 256 employees of a ground service company with 517 employees in Antalya Airport. The data obtained from the questionnaires have been analyzed by means of the SPSS 22 and the PROCESS methodology (β= .49; p<0.00). According to the findings from the research, it has been determined that the influence of shift-work system on the turnover intention is statistically significant (β= .49; p<0.00). In the second phase, the shift work system, work life balance and intent to leave variables were analyzed together and the effect of the shift work system on the intent to leave the work became meaningless (β=.41; p>0.05). When the significance of this intercourse was examined by Sobel (1982) test, it has been determined that the mediating role on the relationship between work life balance, shift work system and intention to leave was statistically significant (z= 5,29, p < 0.01).
