Abstract:

The nations have applied different names to recognize and understand every existence they encounter in their lives. When the name of the land was given, the legends of the land were produced. All of these things are done in general, the lovers, the heroes fighting for their homeland, the people who have been in the society and the marriages have transferred their names to the places. These things or events that are important in society are transferred to places. These legends in the memory of society are transmitted from verbal memory to space and the sanctibility and importance of the place are seen. Toponimi and toponomatism, the name of the earth means science. It can be expressed as a scientific research of land names, their origins, their meanings, their uses. Toponimi is a subdivision of the onomastic science, which is the science of the name. The land names that began to develop as a subarm of ad science have taken into account as a field of interest for various disciplines of sciences such as science, history, sociology, anthropology, biology. The place names in which many factors are given are the first and most important stages of the patriotization of a geography, a part of the land by the heights located there. From ancient times, the Turks spread over the world, Syria, Anadolu, Azerbaijan and the Balkans began to settle in the regions, where they convert their names into names that correspond to the Turkish fonetics, while for the first time they gave Turkish names to the places they discovered. In this denomination tradition, physical characteristics, ethnic names, personal names and color names come to the forefront. In other words, the Turks have behaved generously to carry out the structure they have built in their spiritual worlds to the outside world. We can say that the cultural climate is transmitted into the earth with the names in the real world, that the language that is fed from the Turkish culture is permanent, that the place they are settled according to them, and that it can be interpreted as a manifestation of what they desire a world that is fully matched with them. In this study we’ve done, we’ll try to reveal the richness of the legends that originate from the names, and we’ll try to show through the Kazak legends that the place is important for people.
