Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of different core materials on the fracture resistance of endodontically treated roots. Materials and Methods: Twenty-one zirconia posts were cemented to the central incisors with resin cement (Rely X Unicem). Following restorations with different core materials (zirconia, resin core, resin composite), metal crowns were fabricated and cemented with polycarboxylate cement. Each specimen was embedded in acrylic resin and then fracture resistance was measured using a universal testing machine. Data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance and Tukey tests. Results: The core material used had significant effects on fracture resistance values (p >.05). Conclusion: Zirconia post-core system showed higher fracture resistance than resin composite and resin core groups.
