Adolesan idiyopatik skolyoz, en sık görülen skolyoz tipidir ve sağlıklı çocuklarda puberte döneminde, omurga ve gövdenin üç boyutlu deformasyonu şeklinde gelişir. Skolyoz operasyonu sonrasında hemşirelik bakımı çok önemlidir hasta takibi, mobilizasyonu, olası komplikasyonların önlenmesi, hasta ve ailesinin eğitimi, rehabilitasyonu gibi konular önemli yer tutmaktadır. Bu nedenle hastalara bakım veren hemşirelerin, hastayı bütüncül olarak değerlendirebilmek ve uygun girişimleri planlayabilmek için hemşirelik süreci ve sınıflama sistemlerini rehber olarak kullanmaları gerekir. Olgu, Marjory Gordon’un “Fonksiyonel Sağlık Örüntüleri” modeli kapsamında değerlendirilmiş olup model temel alınarak hazırlanan hemşirelik sürecinde hastanın yaşadığı ve yaşaması olası olan sorunlar incelenmiştir.

Nursing after scoliosis surgery is very important; matters such as patient tracking, mobilization, prevention of possible complications, patient and family education, rehabilitation take an important place. Therefore, nurses who take care of patients should use nursing processes and classification systems as guidelines to be able to evaluate the patient in a comprehensive manner and to plan appropriate initiatives. The case was evaluated within the framework of Marjory Gordon's "Functional Health Examples" model and the problems that the patient experienced and likely to experience in the nursing process prepared on the basis of the model.
