Lisans eğitiminde öğretmen adaylarının gerek alan gerekse öğretmenlik meslek bilgisi bakımından donanımlı olmaları beklenmektedir. Fakat eğitimde farkı yaratacak olan öğretmen adaylarında; bilgi edinme, yaşamda karşılaştığı problemleri algılayıp çözme, stateji geliştirme, doğru ve hızlı karar verme eylemlerini değerlendirebilen öğretmen niteliklerini belirlemeye çalışmak önemli görülmektedir. Buradan hareketle Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim ve Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinde okuyan öğrencilerinin mental rotasyon ve reaksiyon zaman performanslarını çeşitli değişkenler açısından belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmaya; 2018- 2019 eğitim öğretim yılı Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Matematik, Fen Bilgisi, Bilgisayar Teknolojileri ve Öğretimi Öğretmenliği Bölümleri ile Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğretmenliği bölümlerinde okuyan toplam 136 erkek öğrenci gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Araştırmada mental rotasyon ve reaksiyon zamanlarını ölçmek için bilgisayar tabanlı özel bir program kullanılmıştır. Verilen normal dağılım gösterip göstermediği Shapiro Wilk Testi, bağımsız grupların arasındaki farklılıklar Mann Whitney-U Testi, ilişiki düzeyi Pearson Korelasyonu ile analiz edilmiştir. Bölümlerin mental rotasyon doğru cevap sayısı ve etkin cevaplama zamanına göre yapılan karşılaştırmasında, beden eğitimi ve spor, matematik ve fen bilgisi öğretmenliği öğrencileri ile bilgisayar oyuncuları arasında bilgisayar oyuncuları lehine istatistiksel düzeyde anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Bölümlere göre görsel ve işitsel fix ve interval reaksiyon zamanlarında beden eğitimi ve spor öğrencisi ile bilgisayar oyuncusu arasında, bilgisayar oyuncuları ile fen bilgisi öğretmenliği öğrencileri, bilgisayar oyuncuları ile matematik öğretmenliği öğrencilerinin görsel seçmeli reaksiyon zamanı fix interval düzeyleri arasında istatistiksel düzeyde anlamlı bir farklılık saptanmıştır. Yapılan çalışmalar genel olarak mental rotasyon becerisinin başarı faktörünü olumlu yönde etkilediğini belirtmektedir. Fakat disiplinler arası mental rotasyon becerisini inceleyen çalışmaların sınırlı olduğu görülmektedir. Bu nedenle detaylı sonuçlar elde edebilmek için literatüre ışık tutacak mental rotasyon performansları inceleyen farklı öğretmenlik ve temel bilimler bölümlerinde okuyan öğrencilerle daha fazla çalışmaya ihtiyaç olduğunu düşünülmektedir.
The teachers are expected to be equipped in terms of teaching professional knowledge if required. But in the teaching candidates that will make a difference in education, it is important to try to determine the teaching qualities that can evaluate knowledge, detect and solve the problems they encounter in life, develop stateji, correct and quick decision making actions. From here, the aim of the students studying at the Faculty of Education and Sports Sciences of the University of Bursa is to determine the mental rotation and reaction time performance in terms of various variables. The research; 2018-2019 academic year, the Faculty of Education of the University of Bursa has participated as a volunteer in a total of 136 male students studying in the departments of mathematics, science, computer technology and teaching and body education and sports teaching. A computer-based program has been used to measure the time of mental rotation and reaction. The Shapiro Wilk Test, where the given normal distribution shows or not, analyzed the differences between independent groups, the Mann Whitney-U Test, the relative level with the Pearson Correlation. In the comparison of the mental rotation of the departments according to the number of correct answers and the time of effective response, a significant difference in the statistical level between body education and sports, mathematics and science teaching students and computer players in favour of computer players has been found. The visual and hearing fix and interval reaction times, according to the departments, between body training and sports student and computer player, computer players and science teaching students, computer players and math teaching students, the visual selective reaction time fix interval levels have found a significant difference in statistical level. Studies generally indicate that mental rotation skill positively affects the success factor. However, studies that study interdisciplinary mental rotation skills appear to be limited. Therefore, it is believed that it is necessary to work more with students studying in different teaching and basic sciences departments that study mental rotation performance that will keep the literature light to obtain detailed results.
