The traditional patriarchal structure assigns gender roles to men and women and organizes all aspects of society to live in accordance with these roles. It is an undeniable fact that men are more advantageous in this system and women are thrown into the secondary plan. But men have paid for the power they earned thanks to patriarchy. In order to resist the weight of these costs, men have created new models of masculinity. It is inevitable to examine the reason for the changing perception of male roles that the old structure dominated by the evolution of new models. The aim of this study is to understand the perception of masculinity from the eyes of men, the effect that patriarchal masculinity has on them, and whether this effect is diminishing in today's social structure. In this context, semistructured interviews were conducted with 25 men living in the lower socio-cultural social structure of Kayseri and reached by random sampling technique. The main purpose of meeting interviews with men is to look at the social position of men in their eyes. The qualitative data obtained from the interviews were analyzed in the framework of feminist theory in an interpretative manner in accordance with the discussions on changing masculinity. At the end of the study, it was tried to put forward the research group's perspective on masculinity. When the literature is examined, it is realized that the number of masculinity studies in the theoretical framework is more than that, and it is thought that the field part included in this research will contribute to the other studies
