Fırsat eşitliği Türk eğitim sisteminin temel ilkelerinden biridir. Eğitim alan bireylerin bu hizmetlerden eşit bir şekilde yararlanması eğitim sistemimizin en temel amaçları arasındadır. Ancak her bireyin eşit derecede eriştiği söylenemez. Bu çalışmada, Türk eğitim sistemi sunmuş olduğu fırsat ve imkânlar açısından değerlendirilmektedir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemleri içerisinde yer alan olgubilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Fırat Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü’nde tezsiz yüksek lisans öğrenimi gören 66 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmenlere yöneltilen üç adet açık uçlu soruya yanıt vermeleri istenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, Türk eğitim sisteminin fırsat eşitliği sağlamadığı, özel okulların yaygınlaşmasının fırsat ve imkân eşitliği açısından olumsuz bir durum olduğu ve ailelerin sosyoekonomik durumundan kaynaklanan fırsat ve imkân eşitsizliğini gideremediği sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Bireylerin eğitim imkânlarına eşit oranda sunulması ve erişimlerinin sağlanması önerilmiştir.
Equality of opportunities is one of the basic principles of the Turkish education system. Equal use of these services is one of the main objectives of our educational system. However, it is not possible to say that every individual is equally accessible. In this study, the possibilities and opportunities offered by the Turkish education system are assessed. In the study, the methods of research were used. The research study group consists of 66 teachers who see a thesis-free master's study at the Fırat University Institute of Educational Sciences. The teachers are asked to answer three open-end questions. The data obtained was analyzed using the visual analysis method. According to the results of the study, the Turkish educational system has not provided equal opportunities, the spread of private schools is a negative situation in terms of equal opportunities and opportunities, and the families are unable to resolve the inequality of opportunities and opportunities caused by the socio-economic situation. It is recommended that individuals be equally presented and provided access to their educational opportunities.
