Bu çalışmanın amacı, Erzurum 2. Organize Sanayi Bölgesi'nde kurulan tekstil firmalarının oluşturduğu dışsallıklar ve bu dışsallıklar üzerinde sosyal ilişkilerin etkisini incelemektir. Çalışmada eş zamanlı desen desenine göre karma yöntem tercih edilmiştir. Tekstilkent bünyesindeki firma çalışanlarına anket uygulanmış ve anket verileri Probit modeli yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca bu şirketlerde çalışan yönetici veya uzman pozisyonundaki bireylere uygulanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler sonucunda nitel veriler elde edilmiştir. Bu verilerle oluşturulan kelime bulutu ve kelime ağacı üzerinden nitel bulgulara ulaşılmıştır. Probit modelinde hesaplanan marjinal etkilere göre sosyal ilişkiler değişkeninin dışsallıklar üzerinde anlamlı bir pozitif etkiye sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Görüşme formlarından elde edilen verilerin analizinde de benzer bir sonuca ulaşılmış, ayrıca sosyal ilişkilerin bilgi alışverişini kolaylaştırma, üretimde aksamaları önleme, müşterilerle iletişimi ve personel hareketliliğini kolaylaştırma gibi konularda avantaj ve fayda sağladığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu bulgular doğrultusunda benzer sektörlerdeki şirketlerin kümelenmesi ile sosyal ilişkilerden daha fazla yararlanılabileceği tespit edilmiştir. Dolayısıyla benzer sektörlerin karar vericiler tarafından bir araya getirilmesinin sosyal ilişkilerde ortaya çıkan olumlu dışsallıkları artıracağı öngörülmektedir.
The aim of this study is to examine the externalities created by the textile companies established in Erzurum 2nd Organized Industrial Zone and the effect of social relations on these externalities. In the study, mixed method was preferred according to the simultaneous design pattern. Surveys were conducted for the company employees within Tekstilkent and the survey data were analyzed with the help of the Probit model. In addition, qualitative data were obtained as a result of semi-structured interviews applied to individuals in managerial or expert positions working in these companies. Qualitative findings were reached through the word cloud and word tree created with these data. According to the marginal effects calculated in the probit model, it was determined that the social relations variable had a significant positive impact on externalities. A similar result was reached by the analysis of the data obtained from the interview forms, and additionally, it was found that social relations provide advantages and benefits in facilitating information exchange, preventing disruptions in production, facilitating communication with customers, and personnel mobility. In line with these findings, it has been determined that social relations can be benefited more by clustering companies in similar sectors. Therefore, it is predicted that bringing together similar sectors by decision-makers will increase the positive externalities that arise in social relations.
