Abstract:

This study aims to reveal the relationship between the level of aggression and religiousness in high school students. For this purpose, theoretical information on the subjects of aggression, adolescence and religious orientation in adolescence, which are primarily the basic concepts, has been presented. The examples of the study consist of 157 high school students studying in different kinds of schools within the borders of the Kayseri Melikgazi District. In the study, the aggressive tendencies of the participants were achieved with the "Buss-Perry Aggression Scale" consisting of four sub-scale and 29 items, and the religious tendencies of the participants were achieved with the "Ok-Religious Orientation Scale" consisting of four sub-scale and 8 items. The “Buss-Perry Aggression Scale” is the alpha ratio, 871, and the “Ok-Religious Orientation Scale” is the alpha ratio, 806. In the analysis of the data obtained by the survey technique, the SPSS 22 package program was used. In data analysis, SPSS used frequency distribution, arithmetic average, t-test, anova and correlation analysis. The study found that there was no significant difference between different variables and aggressiveness and religious orientation, and there were significant relationships between the lower dimensions of the religious orientation scale and the lower dimensions of the aggressiveness scale. The findings obtained were discussed on the basis of the relevant literature and proposed possible solutions.
