Abstract:

Women’s employment in the public sector is an important place in both the private sector and the country’s economy. Although this effect is very important, it is known that when the historical process is studied, women are still not visible in quantity and quality in the position of active labour in the market. Even if the work they do in different sectors, the difficulties and problems they encounter have not changed, no improvements have been made. This problem is based on gender division. The fact that women have begun to be active in every profession and move forward to the professions defined as "man's business" has caused many discussions. This study also took into consideration the influence of women in the transport sector and was discussed in a field where men dominate as a public area with the beginning of women working in the transport sector, with the aim of revealing how the driver's profession, which is considered as a "man's profession" in terms of women, is accepted, the relationship between women's work, life and family structures. The roles of women drivers inining the balance between work and family life, the strategies of working as women in the male sector, the problems arising from being women and the solutions they develop to these issues will be discussed and transmitted in the gender-based sociological perspective axis.
