Abstract:

Purpose: The effect of Artikain is a short-term local anesthesia that starts quickly. In this study, we intended to extend the time of analgesy by adding tramadol to the article in the application of the block of acne. Methods: With the nerve stimulation technique, the ASA I-II group was included in the study of 60 patients who will undergo hand and/or precolary surgery between the ages of 18 and 60. Patients in group A (n=30) were given 40 ml of 1% articain, group AT (n=30) 40 ml of 1% articain and 100 mg of tramadol. Emotional and motor block start times, sensual, motor block and analgesic times and hemodynamic parameters were recorded before local anesthetic injection, 5, 10, 20, 30, 60, 120, 180 minutes later. Student's t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, χ2 tests were used for statistical analysis, p<0.05 was considered meaningful. Results: Emotional block time group AT (187.5 ± 13.0 minutes) was found significantly long in group A (140.78 ± 8.74 minutes) or above (p< 0.02) (Table 2). Motor block time group AT (137.4 ± 3 min) was found significantly long in group A (93.71 ± 9.6 min) or above (p< 0.01) (Table 2). Analysis time was significantly longer compared to group A (170.8 ± 17.2 min) in group AT (218.8 ± 18.2 min) (p<0.05) (Table 2). The group AT also recorded nausea in two patients during the postoperative period and hypotension in one patient. Result: This study shows that the addition of 100 mg tramadol to the 1% article in the application of the block blocks extends the time of analgesy.
