Abstract:

This research has been done to identify the mental symptoms of nursing students and the factors they are believed to be affected. The sample of the study was made by 160 students who were studying in the Department of Nursing at a state university in the 2009-2010 academic year. The data collection tool is "Anket Form" and Shahin and Ark. The "Short Symptoms Envelopment" was used by Turkish. In the assessment of the data, the percentage, the arithmetic average, the difference between the two average meaning test and the one-way variance analysis were used. Students who participated in the study’s short symptom inventory score average is 55.18±31.71, the low scale of anxiety is 12.53±7.86, the low scale of depression is 14.64±8.79, the low scale of negative self is 11.30±8. The sub-scale of Somatization is 7.54±5.78 and the sub-scale of Anger/Hunger is 9.05±4.91. The difference in class variable in the student's somatisation score average has been found statistically significant. The score of second-class students is higher than the score of third and fourth-class students. In groups based on the gender of students, where they stay in their university lives, where they live with their families, family and their own economic status, the average score of the Short Symptoms Inventory and the low scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale scale. According to the score average, it can be said that students who participate in the study have a low frequency of mental signs.
