Abstract:

Ibn Rushd has influenced his theology, ontology, epistemology, moral philosophy and the political philosophy we will stand on. After asking what the source of the righteousness is or what its relationship with freedom is, its most important dimension is that it is directly related to practice/action. The practical dimension comes to us in the individual and social plan. The most important issue in which the will discussed on an individual plan rather than on the moral basis is related to the social dimension is politics. In the Islamic world, even in the West, the philosophers showing philosophical works about politics is an important sign that shows that philosophy is not a part of society. In fact, politics is the main question of the field of values, "How can I be happy?" The question is “How can we be happy?” It is a social level where the question is asked and the answer is sought. In the article, the idea of the will of Ibn Rushd, the relationship between the will and politics and the basic views in the political philosophy will be revealed by taking the translation of Basic Information on Politics to the heart center. Ibn Rushd also applied its general methodology in political philosophy. This methodology is also the first thing that appears to be questioning what kind of information the alleged information is true. This information must be "burhanic" (based on clear evidence). Another important element in its methodology is the causality. In this sense, Ibn Rushd, who observed the cause-resultation relationship in positive sciences and social sciences, has constantly taken into account the rationality and scientificity principle and has also created the political philosophy within the framework of these basic principles. Ibn Rushd did not adopt a metaphysical-based political philosophy. Politics is a science that is related to the world and which determines and ensures that people can live happily in this world. Therefore, politics must be built on the basis of reason and will.
