GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Bu tanımlayıcı araştırmada Erciyes Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Pedodonti Anabilim Dalı’ na başvuran ve tedavileri genel anesteziyle yapılmış olan 0-15 yaş arası çocukların hepatit B, hepatit C ve HIV seroprevalanslarının saptanması amaçlanmıştır. YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Erciyes Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Pedodonti Anabilim Dalı’na 2014 Ocak - 2017 Haziran tarihleri arasında başvurmuş, dental tedavileri genel anestezi altında gerçekleştirilmiş, rutin kan tetiki bulunan 0-15 yaş arası toplam 3350 çocuk çalışmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Çocuk hastanesine yönlendirilerek hepatit B yüzey antijeni (HBsAg), hepatit B yüzey antikoru (anti-HBs), hepatit C antikoru (anti-HCV) ve HIV antijen-antikor (HIV Ag/Ab) ve değerleri tespit edilmiş olan hastaların sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir. BULGULAR: Çalışmaya alınan çocukların sadece 2 (%0.0005)’ sinde HBsAg pozitifliği ve 1 (%0.0002)’ inde anti-HCV pozitifliği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada anti-HIV pozitif olan çocuk olmadığı saptanmıştır. TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: Bu çalışmada Kayseri ili ve çevresindeki çocuklarda hepatit B, hepatit C ve HIV enfeksiyon düzeyinin konuyla ilgili yapılan diğer çalışmalara kıyasla daha düşük olduğu bulunmuştur. Hepatit B enfeksiyonundaki düşüşün Sağlık Bakanlığı tarafından yürütülen aşılama programının bu yörede başarılı bir şekilde devam ettiği ve anne-babaların konuyla ilgili bilinç düzeylerinin artması bu düşüşte etkili olmuş olabilir.
Introduction and Purpose: This identifying study is aimed at detecting hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV seroprevalence in children between 0 and 15 years of age who apply to the Faculty of Dentistry of the Erciyes University and who have been treated with general anesthesia. Method and Requirements: Erciyes University Faculty of Dentistry Pedodonti Anabolic Department applied between January 2014 and June 2017, dental treatments were carried out under general anesthesia, a total of 3350 children between 0-15 years of age with routine blood tests were included in the study. The results of patients who were addressed to the child’s hospital with hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), hepatitis B surface antigen (anti-HBs), hepatitis C antigen (anti-HCV) and HIV antigen-antigen (HIV Ag/Ab) and values were assessed. Results: Only 2 (0.0005) of the children in the study were HBsAg positive and 1 (0.0002) anti-HCV positive. The study found that no child was HIV-positive. This study found that the levels of hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV infection in children in Kayseri and around them were lower compared to other studies on the subject. The decline in hepatitis B infection has been effective in this decline when the vaccination program carried out by the Ministry of Health has successfully continued in this place and the increased levels of awareness of parents about the issue.
