Abstract Hassa District, which was founded in 1865 by the Fırka-i Islahiye, who came to the Gavur Mountains to establish the state order, is located at a comprehensive strategic point of the Gavur Mountains on the Antakya-Maraş route. After its establishment, it was attached to Maraş, and in 1879, due to security concerns, it was included within the borders of the newly established Cebel-i Bereket Sanjak. In the provincial yearbooks, the names of the districts, townships and villages of the Hassa District are given. There is enlightening information about administrative institutions and living spaces. According to the information given in the yearbooks, Muslims and non-Muslims took place together at the state levels. It is seen that Muslims and Christians live together in the district and Muslims are very high in the population of the district. There are also tombs of people who are thought to belong to the great personalities of Islam. Hassa, which has a large production process, is exported according to the surrounding townships and provinces. The study aims to reveal the administrative, social and economic situation of Hassa District, which was established in 1865, in the period until 1902 according to the Aleppo and Adana yearbooks.
