Abstract:

The risks caused by interruptions in the supply chain network can appear at very different points. Identification of the risks that will increase the costs of supply chain members and the risk factors that create these risks is crucial to prevent or reduce the risks. This study focused on the automotive industry, which is highly sensitive to risks due to the high level of supply chain complexity and the dependence of the chain members on each other. In order to identify the risk factors in the automotive supply chain and to identify the effects of the risks, a half-structured deep consultation with the supply chain experts in the management stage has been conducted. The findings obtained provide guidance information to academics and practitioners interested in the supply chain risk management field. In literature, in Turkey about the risks of the automotive supply chain makes the study original that data from the supply chain managers are not met with a similar study that is analyzed.
