So many results that aren't mine?
References in many bibliographies are sometimes referred to as "Surname, I", so the citations of academics whose Surname and initials are the same may occasionally interfere. This problem is often the case with citation indexes all over the world.

Abstract:

Aim:  The aim of this study was to evaluate the mean platelet volume (MPV) and platelet distribution width (PDW) parameters in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Material and Methods: Four hundred fifty-three patients diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis (Gonarthrosis Group) who admitted to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation outpatient clinic of Adıyaman Education and Research Hospital between January 2016 and December 2017 and 341 subjects with similar characteristics as age and gender but without knee osteoarthritis and not having any disease affecting thrombocyte count and function (Control Group) were included this study. Patients' age, gender, platelet count (PC), MPV and PDW values were recorded retrospectively from hospital records. Both groups were compared in terms of PC, MPV and PDW values. Results: In the gonarthrosis group, mean MPV levels (7,84 ± 1,58 fL) were significantly lower than the control group (8,23 ± 1,69 fL; p = 0.001) and mean PDW values were significantly higher (18,67 ± 1,81 fL and 18,12 ± 3,31 fL, respectively; p = 0.003). Although the mean PC level was slightly lower in the gonarthrosis group, the difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.298). Conclusion: This study suggests that MPV and PDW parameters in patients with knee osteoarthritis may differ significantly from those without knee osteoarthritis.  The fact that there are studies in the literature that there is no difference makes this issue controversial. We believe that prospective studies in larger series and including clinical parameters would be useful.
