The phenomenon of alteration is one of the most prominent stylistic phenomena that has received great attention from modern critics. This is due to the important role it plays in building the poem, and for the expressive and aesthetic possibilities, it contains, through which the writer can elevate the literary text to the level of originality and quality. West African poets have employed the technique of alterations in their poems of simile, metaphor, metaphor, and metonymy; to express their emotional experiences. From these standpoints, this research seeks - according to the applied descriptive approach - to highlight the features of alteration in Arabic poetry from West Africa, reveal its aesthetic and artistic values in their poetry, and reveal the secrets of the graphic jokes in them, with the artistic creativity involved. It should be noted that West African poets have a valuable literary wealth and an intellectual heritage full of features of displacement and artistic and aesthetic images represented in simile, metaphor, metaphor, and metonymy, in addition to the distinction of this literary wealth with an accuracy of depiction and sobriety of style. It is evident through this study that the phenomenon of alteration has appeared in the poetry of the poets of the region is clear; for its impact on the formation of their poetic language. They were able to convey their imagination to the recipient with a lively and creative artistic richness.
