As a result of comparing the old Turkish and Celtic texts, we see that, there is similarity and closeness in mythology, folklore, religious beliefs, ceremonial festivals of both people. The folklores of the both people can be examined from various sides. We will give the typology of horses character just observed in Oghuz and Celtic eposes. Every nations folklore has its characters having mythological roots. Animals which have preternatural characteristics hold the significant place among these characters. The animals that have a number of functions in mythological texts keep the majority of their extraordinary characteristics when they are transmitted into folklore texts. In this point, both domestic and wild animal characters that we encounter in Oghuz and Celtic epics are approximately the same or alike from the point of view their meaning and function. Horse, bull, goats, deer, some types of birds and others had a significant place in the life of both peoples, their lifestyle and their beliefs according to their meanings. For instance, the most encountered animals in Oghuz and Celtic epics are horse. The horse is a faithful friend, brother, companion on the way to Heaven and etc. in the epic of both peoples. The research of the historical folklore examples of the Turkish peoples during the historical period, the study of historical-typology relations between Oghuz and Celtic peoples AD, as a result of this, the investigation of historical and cultural events and folklore materials related with old Turan folk are analyzed in the article and it is planned to help opening up at least some of the old times of our culture. Generally, horse character in Oghuz and Celtic folklore investigated in detail in the article.
