Abstract:

Social gender patterns are the most important factor in the reconstruction of the spheres that are specific to women and men in today’s societies. Therefore, it is difficult for women to be in the fields of work and education where men are in the unity. In other words, women are also questioned about the masculinity of men in the areas that are recognized as special for women. One of the areas of female intensity is the development of the child. There are a small number of students in this area. The aim of this study is to discuss how men position themselves in female areas and how they build a masculinity by crystallizing their experiences, feelings and thoughts they experience while receiving education. In this direction, Bilecik Sheikh Edebali University, the Child Development Department, made deep discussions with male students, the obtained data was shown by visual analysis. Through these data, the existence of different and multiple forms of masculinity in the form of hegemonic men, madun men and positive-equal men, built by the neoliberal and conservative ethos relationships, has been achieved.
