Abstract:

This study aims to explore the relationship between the levels of university students' faith and the levels of religious orientation and happiness. The study group in the research conducted using the Survey (survey) method and the survey technique; the study group consists of a total of 434 students from the Faculty of Theology and Medicine of the University of Çanakkale on the eighteenth of March, selected by the method of sampling for the purpose of the universe. The study used the "New Age Faith Scale" to measure the levels of beliefs of students as a data collection tool; the "Religious Trend Scale" and the "Oxford Happiness Scale" to measure the levels of happiness in order to measure the levels of internal and externally driven religion. For the analysis of the data, independent groups were t-tested, one-way variance analysis (anova) and correlation analysis. The study found that the students have a positive and meaningful relationship between the inner-driven, externally-driven religious trends and levels of happiness (the new-era beliefs) and all its dimensions. Again, there has been a positive and meaningful relationship between the general levels of faith and all dimensions of faith and the internal and external levels of religion.
