The armies of the First Crusade had certain main stops while moving from Europe to Anatolia and then to the Middle East geography; İstanbul, İznik, Antakya and Jerusalem usually stand out in the First Crusade resources. Besides, Marash does not appear much in the topics about the Crusade in the records kept by the writer of the time. Therefore, in this study, we have seen it fit to take out one by one and study the records of the city of Marash, which was one of the important stops that influenced the fate of the city during the march of the Crusader army towards Antakya in many sources from Gesta Francorum to Metellus von Tegernsee (Metellus Tegernseensis), based on the major Western sources of the First Crusade. We tried to study how the city of Marash was described in these important Middle Age sources and to find out the names of the city in the sources
